WASTE WATER MANAGEMENT
A number of developments are taking place in the area of wastewater management. The latest wastewater innovations, including harvesting energy from biosolids or using recently discovered bacteria to remove nitrogen from waste, have the potential to change the way urban communities manage, pay for and profit from wastewater treatment.
Small villages and remote communities often lack access to wastewater treatment plants with fully developed primary and secondary treatment. However, wastewater treatment is often seen as a secondary issue; access to funding is not always available or is seen as too expensive for a small community.
We prefer projects that address the needs of rural or remote communities, as well as customized, pre-assembled and ready-to-install small-scale waste water projects that are designed to meet the needs of the community, that are cost effective and are combined with sustainable energy technologies such as solar PV.
